About this tool
This free SVG to PNG / JPG converter turns vector SVG files into raster images entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Drop in an SVG, pick your output format, optionally set a width, and download a pixel-perfect PNG or JPEG in seconds. Because the browser renders the SVG natively, complex features like gradients, filters, and clip paths are all preserved.
How to use
- Drop your SVG file into the upload zone.
- Choose PNG (transparent, lossless) or JPEG (flat, compatible).
- Optionally enter a width in pixels to control the output resolution.
- Click Convert and preview the result.
- Click Download to save the image.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert an SVG to PNG online for free?
Drop your SVG file into this tool, choose PNG as the output format, optionally set a width, and click Convert. The PNG is generated entirely in your browser — no upload, no sign-up, completely free.
Can I convert SVG to JPEG as well?
Yes. Toggle the format switch to JPEG before clicking Convert. JPEG is great for photos and when you need broad compatibility. Note that JPEG does not support transparency — transparent areas become white.
Does the SVG converter upload my file?
No. Everything happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your SVG file never leaves your device, so conversion is instant and completely private.
Can I set a custom output width?
Yes. Enter a width in pixels (100–4000) in the Width field. The height scales automatically to preserve the aspect ratio. Leave it blank to use the SVG's original intrinsic size.
Why does my converted image look blurry at the default size?
Some SVGs have small intrinsic dimensions (or none at all). Set a larger width — for example 1200px — to get a crisp, high-resolution PNG or JPEG.
What if my SVG has no width or height attributes?
The tool defaults to 800×600 px when no intrinsic size can be read. Set a custom width to control the output resolution.
Which SVG features are supported?
Any SVG your browser can render — including gradients, filters, clip paths, and embedded fonts — will appear correctly in the exported image, because the browser itself does the rendering.
Can I batch-convert multiple SVGs?
This tool converts one SVG at a time. For each file, drop it in, set your options, and download. Batch support may be added in a future update.
