Terms of Service
Last updated: June 29, 2026
By accessing or using RunWebTools(the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to our website, the tools on it, and the bookmarklets we provide.
The Service
RunWebTools provides a collection of free online utilities — formatters, converters, encoders, generators, and text tools — that run in your web browser. We offer them both as standalone pages and, for some tools, as bookmarklets you can run on other web pages. We may add, change, or remove tools and features at any time.
Eligibility and accounts
The Service is open to general use and does not require an account. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with the laws that apply to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the Service, or circumvent its security or rate limits;
- access the Service through automated means in a way that abuses or degrades it for others;
- use our bookmarklets to interfere with, alter, or attack websites you do not own or have permission to modify.
Bookmarklets — use at your own risk
Our bookmarklets are small scripts you choose to save and run on pages you visit. When you run one, it executes inside your browser with the same access as the page you run it on. They are provided for your convenience and process everything locally — we do not receive the page's contents, your selection, or your input.
You decide where and when to run a bookmarklet, and you do so entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend that you do not run them on sensitive or restricted websites — for example, online banking, payment, healthcare, government, or employer systems — or on any site whose terms prohibit third-party scripts. Some websites also restrict or block bookmarklets through their security policies; that behavior is outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunWebTools is not responsible for any loss, damage, security incident, account suspension, policy violation, or other consequence arising from your choice to run a bookmarklet on any particular website. Ensuring that your use is permitted and appropriate is solely your responsibility.
Inspecting and analyzing other websites
Some tools — such as Page Inspector — let you analyze the structure, styles, and media of a web page you are viewing, similar to your browser's built-in developer tools. These tools are provided for development, debugging, and learning. They read only what your browser has already loaded and run entirely on your device; they are not intended to copy, download, store, or redistribute content in bulk.
All fonts, images, videos, SVGs, and other content you view through these tools remain the property of their respective owners and may be protected by copyright, trademark, or other rights. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any use you make of the information they surface is lawful and permitted, and you agree not to use it to infringe the rights of others or in violation of any website's terms. RunWebTools is not responsible for how you use information obtained through these tools.
Verify important results
Our tools are provided to help with everyday tasks, but you should not rely on them for decisions that require certainty. Always independently verify any output that matters — for example, before using it in production code, legal, financial, or other important contexts.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, text, and software, is owned by RunWebTools and protected by applicable laws. The content you enter into a tool remains yours; we claim no ownership over it. You may use the Service and its outputs for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the tools will be accurate, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunWebTools and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Third-party links and ads
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and display third-party advertising. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party sites or advertisers. Your dealings with them are solely between you and the third party.
Changes and termination
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
