Frequently asked questions
Is my image sent to a server when I adjust hue or saturation?
No. The adjustment is done entirely in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
What does the hue rotation slider do?
Hue rotation shifts all colors around the color wheel by a given number of degrees. For example, +180 degrees turns reds to cyans and greens to magentas. A value of 0 means no change.
What does the saturation slider do?
A value of 100 means the original saturation. Values below 100 desaturate the image (toward gray), while values above 100 make colors more vivid and intense. Setting it to 0 produces a grayscale image.
Can I use this for color correction online?
Yes. You can shift the hue to compensate for color casts in photos, or boost saturation to make colors pop — all without installing any software.
What output format does the tool save?
If your source image is a JPEG, the output is also saved as JPEG. For all other formats (PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP), the output is PNG to preserve any transparency.
How do I change the color of an object in a photo?
If the object's color is distinct from the rest of the image, try rotating the hue. For precise control over a single object, a dedicated editing app like GIMP or Photoshop will give you more selective color tools.
Can I combine hue and saturation adjustments?
Yes. Both sliders are applied together in one pass. Drag both sliders and click Apply to combine the effects.
