These are mid-market European Central Bank reference rates (via Frankfurter), updated once per business day — not live trading rates. Banks, cards, and portals quote rates with their own margin and fees on top, so the amount you actually pay or receive will be higher than the mid-market value shown here. Popular conversions like USD to KRW, USD to EUR, and EUR to GBP all work from the same page: enter an amount, pick the two currencies, and the result updates instantly.
How it works
- Type the amount you want to convert.
- Choose the currency you have (From) and the one you want (To).
- Read the converted amount and the exact per-unit exchange rate.
- Use Swap to flip the direction, or Refresh to pull the latest rates.
Reference rates, not trading rates
The figures are European Central Bank reference rates, updated once per business day. They are ideal for estimates, but the price you get from a bank, credit card, or money-exchange service includes an extra margin and fees. This tool is for information only and is not financial advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is this currency converter free?
Yes — it's a completely free online currency converter with no sign-up and no limits. Convert between US Dollar, Euro, Pound, Yen, Won, and dozens of other currencies.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
Rates are European Central Bank (ECB) reference rates, provided through the free Frankfurter API. They are updated once per business day, so the figures reflect the most recent official reference rate rather than a live trading price.
Are these live, real-time rates?
No. These are daily reference rates, not live market or trading rates. Banks, cards, and exchange services add their own spread and fees, so the amount you actually pay or receive will differ. Use this as a guide, not for executing trades.
How often are the rates updated?
The reference rates refresh once per day (on business days). The date the rates were published is shown next to the result, and you can press Refresh to pull the latest published set.
Which currencies are supported?
About 30 major world currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, KRW, CNY, AUD, CAD, CHF, HKD, INR, and more. Pick any pair from the dropdowns to convert in either direction.
Why is the amount different from my bank or Naver?
This tool shows the mid-market rate — the midpoint of the buy and sell price, with no margin added. Banks, credit cards, and portals like Naver quote rates that already include their spread and fees, and their feeds update in real time, so their buy/sell numbers are higher and move throughout the day. The mid-market rate is the fairest reference point for comparison, but not the price you actually transact at.
Is my data sent anywhere?
The only network request is to fetch the public exchange-rate table — the amounts you type are converted in your browser and are never uploaded or stored. No account, no tracking of your conversions.
Can I see the exchange rate history?
Yes — under the converter there's a chart of the selected pair over the past week, month, 3 months, or year, so you can see the trend and how much the rate has moved. The history uses the same daily ECB reference rates, with weekends and holidays skipped.
Does it remember my currencies?
Yes. The From and To currencies you pick are saved in your browser, so the next time you open the converter your last pair is already selected. Nothing is sent to a server — it's stored locally on your device.
Can I convert cryptocurrency?
Not in this tool — it covers government-issued (fiat) currencies using official reference rates. Crypto prices are far more volatile and need a live market feed.
